Master Practitioner Course

This course provides comprehensive insight and mastery of the Feldenkrais material. We will examine, practice, code and apply the material on multiple levels, setting precise goals for transformation and progress in individuals and group-settings and switch application and focus, to suit precise goals in each context. We will spend experiential self-development time, as well as professional-skill development.

• analysis of choices of intervention

• applying the best interventions for each client and group
• in depth skill-practice in Functional Integration (FI)™, Awareness Through Movement (ATM)™
• practical applications of the most sophisticated Feldenkrais philosophies.

Sample subject covered:
• How to decide which intervention or technique to use at various given instances
• How to structure and use the interview session
• Choosing where to begin and how to end the Functional Integration (FI)™ session
• Preparation and presentation of effective Awareness Through Movement (ATM)™
• Incorporating multiple aspects of the work in a range of situations.
• The importance and use of interpersonal skills, including interview and communication.
• Monitoring your own state and condition while working.
• Exploring the connection between Functional Integration (FI)™ and Awareness Through Movement (ATM)™
• Increasing the range of advanced Awareness Through Movement (ATM)™ for your own development as well as for professional applications.
• Using available publications and resource material.


Course Overview
45 day training
Segment 1: March 12-22nd, 2009
Segment 2: September 9th-13th, 2009
Segment 3: March 8th-18th, 2010
Segment 4: August 9th-19th, 2010
Segment 5: March 11th-21st, 2011

Course Format
This course is divided between lectures, hands-on work, demonstrations, and practicums. Students will be mentored and personally guided throughout the course.

Residential Setting
This course is taught in a residential, retreat setting. All participants will be housed at the training location to better allow peer support and networking.

Prerequisite
A minimum of 30 days of MBS Post Graduate Trainings.
Acceptance of application form by MBS Faculty.

Application Process
Due to the intensity of this training, registration is limited for the entire program. Students will not be admitted after the first segment.

Tuition
Tuition includes room & board for the duration of the training. Payments are due four weeks prior to each segment. Tuition is subject to change per segment dependent on room and board costs.

Certification
Upon successful completion, students will be awarded the MBS Academy Master Practitioner Certificate
